Friends of the Burnham Library Second Annual Fundraising Campaign The Friends of the Burnham Library hope to raise $15,000 so the Burnham Library can update the library book collection with new books for readers of all ages; expand and update library electronic resources for patrons to use from home, including online databases for readers, downloadable audio-books, and an improved online catalog; sponsor additional programs for adults and youth; and invest in the long-term stability of the Burnham Library by allocating 20% of funds raised to the Burnham Library Endowment Fund. About the Friends of the Library The Friends of the Burnham Library is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to support the Library in a variety of ways including fund-raising (mainly through the annual used book sale), sponsoring programs throughout the year for adults and children, and volunteering time. Annual membership dues also help support the library and, in the past, have been used to purchase furniture, books, compact discs, videos and computers.
